The Load Tray Extension (LTE) is the perfect solution for increasing your vehicle’s payload and flexibility when working on rail sites. Easily attached to the front or rear of your R2R 4×4, the LTE allows you to safely transport equipment from the track access point to the worksite without sacrificing space in your R2R 4×4 RRV for personnel and essential tools.
When not in use, the LTE is conveniently stored on the back of your R2R 4×4 for road transport and can be quickly deployed once you’re on track. For larger loads, you can even carry a second Load Tray Extension in a separate vehicle, ensuring all your equipment reaches the worksite efficiently.
Load Tray Extension (LTE) Specifications
- RRV Attachment: The LTE securely attaches to Aquarius R2R 4x4s and R2R Rangers, providing reliable towing capabilities on both rail and road
- Lightweight Design: Weighing just 50kg, the LTE can be easily lifted and handled by two people, making it straightforward to deploy
- Unbraked, Single Axle: The LTE is designed with a single axle and is unbraked, making it simple to manage while moving on track
- Operating Speed on Rail: Designed to operate at a maximum speed of 10mph on plain line tracks, ensuring safe and effective equipment transport
- Live Overhead Line Equipment (OLE) Compatibility: The LTE can operate safely on-track under live OLE, making it suitable for rail maintenance and other critical rail industry tasks
- Payload Capacity: The LTE can carry up to 490kg of equipment and materials, enabling more efficient handling of resources on site
- Road Transport: When not in use on track, the LTE can be conveniently stowed on the rear or roof of the R2R Ranger, allowing for seamless road transport to and from rail worksites
The LTE is fully compatible with Aquarius R2R 4x4s, R2R Rangers, and Rail Mules, offering a flexible solution for moving equipment and materials across a variety of rail environments.
