This adaptation to an existing Network Rail Land Rover, makes full use of the Land Rovers’ unique ground speed related PTO, to enable accurate sandite application irrespective of forward speed.
In the photo you can also see other weapons in the autumn leaf assault. The leaf vacuum/shredder (green) and the rearmost nozzle on the Land Rover to apply Citra solve. Both these tools subscribe to the “prevention is better than cure” line, removing the leaves before traction is an issue. No doubt this Land Rover will find widespread use upon the deployment this autumn in Scotland.
