We are delighted to be co-hosting with the Rail Alliance and we are thrilled with the response. Thank you to all those who are already involved. A broad range of the rail industry will be attending including Network Rail, Nexus Rail, contractors, suppliers and industry bodies. Discussing ‘Safety & Performance’ issues, this event will take place in the unique setting of the impressive Newcastle College Rail Academy and promises to be lively & informative.
Delegates will hear presentations from:
• Linbrooke Services: how military practises influence their processes.
• Durham Fire & Rescue Service presenting their Safer Homes Collaborative Working project which has resulted in improved community safety & has created significant budget savings in the public sector.
• Trough-Tec Systems‘ talk will consider understanding rail problems to come up with better solutions together.
• Heriot Watt University Rail Research Centre will illustrate their work in the rail industry.
The day will also incorporate group forums discussing safety & performance issues, specifically ‘culture’, ‘products’ and ‘training’. The morning sessions will focus on problems, whilst the afternoon sessions will identify solutions to those problems. These forums will be facilitated by figures critically involved in track maintenance, training and rail research. Colin Kelly, OLE Director at ISS Labour, is one of the top OLEC trainers in the UK and will be leading one of the forums.
The networking sessions will be an opportunity to view the Rail Alliance members which will be on display. These companies include Trough-Tec Systems, Aluminium Lighting Company, AJC Trailers/Easy Cabin, ISS Labour, Aquarius and our collaborators… with more to be announced.
